SKT4 Container Dryer (single-door) is designed for drying vegetables (eg. garlic, bell pepper, carrot, beetroot, potato), fruit (eg. apple, pear, strawberry, raspberry, plum), granules, mushrooms and herbs, eg. for drying hemp.

The material is dried in a chamber on 4 drying carts arranged in series. The drying process consists of bringing warmed air into the chamber. The processed air is partially discharged outside the chamber through the outlet duct. In the recuperation version the air is forced through the exchanger, thanks to which we recover 15-20% of thermal energy ejected with the humid air.

The dryer chamber is made of stainless steel, trolleys – stainless steel, drying trays – PPE certified for contact with food.

* Drying time depends on:

  • applied drying technology (ie. temperature, air flow rate)
  • air parameters on the intake (ie. temperature, relative humidity)
  • properties of the dried material:
    • level of granulation
    • layer density on the tray
    • initial temperature of the material
    • the necessity of subjecting the material to preliminary treatment, eg. by blanching, seed removal etc.
    • percentage of water content in the dried material
    • expected water content in the dried product
    • material hydro-properties, e.g. skin thickness and structure
